Cable TV channel Animal Planet launches its first consumer ad today to create a brand identity in time for the new fall season. The campaign by Lord Group, New York, features various versions of the song "Talk to the Animals" to introduce the channel's new on-air graphics and music package. TV spots air nationally on Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel and on network TV shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Denver; transit advertising and outdoor boards are also breaking in those four markets. Print ads are scheduled to run in People, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
