Ad traffic grows on Web

Average traffic at ad-supported Web sites has more than doubled since January, according to a major research report from Web measurement company Internet Profiles Corp., San Francisco. The study analyzes data from more than 75 sites. Other findings: U.S. traffic accounts for 70% of traffic at the sites studied, but non-U.S. traffic is growing at twice the U.S rate. Also, visitors to an ad-supported Web site view an average of 5.7 pages per visit.
