Adbot still has high hopes

Published on .

Adbot, a Chicago-based auctioneer of Internet advertising, said it has sold more than 86 million ad impressions in its first two auctions held in April and May. The company expects to auction more than 100 million impressions in its next auction--June 26. To meet the needs of the market, Adbot has recently established programs for advertisers who are interested in paying for advertising space based on click-throughs or commission sales. Impressions on about 100 sites are sold to bidders in content networks and on individual sites. In its first auction, Adbot only sold about one third of its inventory and then the company guaranteed to buy the remaining impressions at a $5 cost per thousand.
