Adidas begins drive

Published on .

Adidas has begun a new global advertising campaign that features the German sports shoe marketer's links to former Olympic legends and current gold medal prospects at the Atlanta Olympics. The campaign, called "We knew then, we know now," features sports legends such as Jesse Owens and Al Oerter and current hopefuls such as German discus thrower Lars Riedel. The first pair of Adi Dassler-made shoes were worn in the 1928 Olympic Games. London agency Leagas Delaney created the campaign for Adidas.
