Adlink readies programmable ads

Adlink, Los Angeles, will implement the first of its 57 digital video adinsertion systems designed by DigitalEquipment Corp. at Hermosa Beach, Calif., this month. The installation linksa video ad insertion system in each cable TV headend with a digital media studioat Adlink, allowing for digital video ad insertion. The $10 million project isslated to provide geographically programmable advertising to 2.3 million cableTV subscribers in Southern California when complete.
