Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago, and AdNetware, Internet advertising solutions providers, formed a strategic alliance that enables FCB to begin experimenting with AdNetware's technology. This technology lets advertisers and content providers communicate with users anytime they are online, anywhere they surf. The technology targets advertising and sends out relevant interstitial ads during the gap time between Web page downloads. FCB said it plans to use these capabilities to provide precise targeting, increase ad 'stickiness' and build one-on-one relationships between advertisers and consumers using dialogue-oriented messages instead of banner ads.
