AdRelevance begins tracking online ads for consumer goods categories

AdRelevance, an online ad tracking subsidiary of Media Metrix, is now tracking the online advertising moves of the consumer goods industry, with a wide range of products tracked by manufacturer (rather than retailer-distributor), including beauty supplies, drugs, toiletries, apparel, books, food, beverages, home and garden products, jewelry and accessories, automotive supplies, recreational gear, and toys. The company said its tracking services are aimed at meeting the needs of consumer goods marketers that are now beginning to advertising on the Web. AdRelevance will provide real-time, comprehensive data to clients that tell how their competitors are marketing on the Internet.
