The weather is having a direct effect on advertising in Hong Kong. Sunday mobile phones, known for offbeat and wacky advertising, are running a campaign in which the spot that appears depends on the weather forecast. BBDO Hong Kong created 11 commercials, each geared to conditions such as sunny and hot, sunny and cold, and rainy. The ads are running till Feb. 28, 2000, on two Chinese-language TV channels, which daily air several short weather reports
