Aegis forms joint venture with Thai media firm

Published on .

BANGKOK -- U.K.-based Aegis Group and Chuo Senko (Thailand) have formed a joint venture, branded Carat Media Services (Thailand) Co.

Chuo Senko, which has operated in Thailand for 30 years, holds 51% of the new venture and Aegis 49%.

Aegis says the decision to invest in Thailand during the current economic downturn is based on a long-term strategy to create a major Asian media network.

Chuo Senko executives say the joint venture comes at an opportune time, allowing the agency to differentiate its services from its rivals and giving its clients superior ``value-added'' media services.
