Boston.com, the regional Boston site for The New York Times Digital (the Internet division of The New York Times Co.) is partnering with Agency ComPile, an independent subsidiary of Boston-based consulting firm Pile & Co., to offer a directory of ad agencies (www.boston.com/agencysearch) and their client portfolios. The directory also includes public relations, interactive, direct marketing and design, and sales promotion agencies. Agency ComPile (www.agencycompile.com) also offers its services on its own site.

In a separate announcement, the Association of National Advertisers selected AdForum.com as the agency search engine for the association's site (www.ana.net). Using AdForum, users can search a database of 16,000 ad agencies and their creative work.
