Agency.com expands into Korea and Latin America

Published on .

New York-based interactive agency Agency.com has expanded into South Korea and Latin America, taking minority investments in local interactive shops and leaving management of the businesses up to the local owners. Agency.com Korea will be based in Seoul and is a joint venture between Agency.com and Athena Venture Group, a venture capital group investing in new technology companies. The Latin American agency, Quaxar, was founded in Miami last August. Exact terms of the deals were not disclosed. Agency.com already has a wide international presence with offices in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London and Paris. The European offices currently account for 20% of the company's revenue, a number it expects to grow to 30% in the next two years.
