Jan Ahrenbring, Ericsson's Stockholm-based VP-marketing-communications director, resigned after 10 years in the role. Mr. Ahrenbring, who's leaving for an undisclosed post, spearheaded global marketing efforts for the company's consumer business and recently oversaw the appointment of Bcom3 Group's Bartle Bogle Hegarty
, London, as the new global agency for Ericssons $100 million consumer account. Ericsson fired WPP Group's Y&R Advertising, New York and London, late last year. Philip Vanhoutte, VP strategic market development, continues in the role, in addition to taking on Mr. Ahrenbring's former job. Ericsson, in recent weeks, outsourced wireless handset manufacturing for its beleaguered consumer business which is ranked No. 3 in global handsets.
