Albertson's chain drops agency

Published on .

The nation's fourth largest supermarket chain, Albertson's, Boise, Idaho, has parted with agency Kresser Stein Robaire, Santa Monica, Calif. The chain, with more than 700 stores in 19 states and ad billings in the $10 million range, is believed to be considering an in-house solution as well as several agencies, including Duncan & Associates, Santa Monica, headed by Hugh Duncan, former president of Foote, Cone & Belding, Los Angeles, when it had the grocery chain. Mr. Duncan worked on the account until last month when he left Kresser.
