Alcatel ad teaches Europeans mobile phone manners

Published on .

STUTTGART--Alcatel, the French mobile phone company that's Europe's fourth-biggest player with a 12%, share, is preaching mobile phone manners. The company has started here and in other European markets a cinema campaign with the message: "You better turn off your mobile phone while in a cinema." The message is meant to be relevant for other events such as tennis, where viewers are requested to turn off their cellular phones. The campaign was created by the French agency Devarrieuxvilllaret, Paris, and has been adapted by Alcatel's German agency, Duesseldorf-based Rempen & Partner.
