Alcohol warnings in Canada

The Canadian Radio/Television and Telecommunications Commission, Ottawa,proposes mandatory messages on the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption forTV and radio stations running alcohol ads. The commission said it wants toensure that audiences get a balance of viewpoints on alcohol. A recent CanadianFederal Court ruling allowed spirit ads on TV and radio; only beer, wine andcooler marketers were previously permitted.
