AltaVista, expand network relationship

AltaVista Co. will distribute technologies from main content areas of the AltaVista Network, making AltaVista the newest member of the Network. AltaVista will offer users interactive, collectible content--called "Things"--from sports, music and entertainment companies, enabling fans to easily collect and pass along Things to their friends for use on desktops, in e-mail, offline and on Web pages. All Things entice recipients to act, either by driving repeat traffic, creating awareness for an event or promotion, or driving a merchandise sale. Companies using Things include Comedy Central, Columbia TriStar Interactive, Henson Interactive and the World Wrestling Federation.
