The American Marketing Association named Frito Lay Co. as New Product Marketer of the Year during its 10th Anniversary Edison Best New Products Awards ceremony and dinner April 24 in New York. The company was cited for the success of its various new products, including Frito Lay's Baked Potato Crisps. FCB/Leber Katz Partners, New York, was named New Product Ad Agency of the Year, based on the most Edison Award-winning marketing/advertising campaigns.
