FCB Previously Handled $50 Million Business

Published on .

(May 29, 2001) -- Amazon.com, Seattle, is expected to name Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore., as its new agency for its $50 million account following a pitch that included finalist Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett, Chicago.

Burnett is known to be out of the review; Wieden was not immediately available for comment.

True North Communications' FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, previously handled the business.

An Amazon.com marketing executive said she would not comment on whether Amazon has selected an agency. "I am afraid we are not commenting," she said. -- Kate MacArthur and Alize Z. Cuneo
