Published on .

Amazon.com and America Online extended a promotional alliance under which Amazon.com's products will be available across several AOL brands. This agreement extends the companies' prior marketing alliance, established in 1997; Amazon.com will be widely available across AOL.com, Netscape Netcenter and CompuServe. Separately, Amazon.com Aug. 31 launches Amazon.fr, a French-language site offering books, music CDs, DVDs and videos to customers in France and other French-speaking countries.
