Amazon.com hosts 'Real World' auction

Published on .

MTV's finale of "Real World" is the setting for an online auction in Amazon.com's Music Store of show-related items, including the chance to adopt the show's electronic canine robot dog, "Shorty"; sleep in Danny's bed; and assorted other items from the Belfort Mansion, New Orleans, the home for this year's show. About 200 different items will be sold per week, beginning Nov. 3. MTV's net proceeds from the auction will be donated to the channel's pro-social campaign, "Fight for Your Rights." All items are authentic, and bids for each item start at just $1.
