(May 23, 2001) -- Amazon.com and Toys R Us division Babiesrus.com announced they will launch a co-branded baby store on the Amazon site.

The store is part of the 10-year agreement between Amazon.com and Toysrus.com. Under the agreement, Babiesrus.com assumes the merchandising, planning, buying and inventory management of the store's baby and juvenile products, while Amazon.com manages Web site development, order fulfillment and customer service and will house Babiesrus.com inventory in its U.S. distribution centers.

The site will include the Babies R Us registry, eight product categories, a New Parents' Checklists, a comparison shopping tool and pattern browsers to select nursery designs. Users also can register for personalized e-mails from the editors of Parenting.com and Babiesrus.com/Amazon.com. -- Adrienne Mand
