America Online continues its anti-spam crusade

Published on .

America Online filed suit against three more junk e-mail companies, it announced Jan. 7. Filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the suit seeks an injunction to prevent the companies -- IMS of Knoxville, Tenn., Gulf Coast Marketing of Baton Rouge, La., and TSF Marketing and TSF Industries of Riverside, Calif. -- from continuing their practice of sending large quantities of unsolicited junk e-mail to AOL members. The suit also seeks damages from all three companies.
