America Online formally announces plans for American Greetings business

As expected, AOL Networks, the online service division of America Online, formally unveiled plans to open an Electronic Greetings business on its service with American Greetings Corp. The three-year, multimillion-dollar agreement entails American Greetings paying AOL a $3 million advance in the first year. The card service will be integrated throughout AOL.

AOL also announced that Kathryn A. Bushkin was appointed senior VP-chief communications officer. Ms. Bushkin was formerly senior managing director at public relations company Hill & Knowlton.
