America Online spreads its services Web-wide

America Online announced that it was introducing services on its site AOL.com including AOL NetMail and AOL Instant Messenger, a real-time instant messaging service. AOL NetMail allows AOL members to send and receive e-mail anywhere on the Web. AOL also signed a distribution deal with Qualcomm, which markets Eudora e-mail software, for its AOL Instant Messenger product.
