Ameritech New Media hits 1 million mark

Ameritech New Media has topped 1 million households in its cable franchise chain with the addition of Westland, a Detroit suburb. Ameritech New Media serves as a second cable choice called Americast in 55 Midwestern cities. Americast programming, developed in a joint venture with Walt Disney Co., will be expanded over the next several years to include hundreds of channels and interactive services.
