Ameritech taps DDB Needham

Ameritech New Media Enterprises named Chicago-based DDB Needham to launch americast video services--a package of cable programming with close to 90 channels that Ameritech will offer consumers as an alternative to existing cable services. An alliance that includes Ameritech, SouthWestern Bell, BellSouth, GTE and Cap Cities/Disney is creating americast programming to eventually provide content to each of the member's Internet, cable and interactive TV ventures.
