American Express Co. moved advertising and direct marketing for its financial services businesses, including American Express Financial Advisors, to Young & Rubicam from Ogilvy & Mather, both New York. The estimated $1 million assignment also includes advertising and direct marketing for a new unit, American Express Financial Services Direct. Y&R's Wunderman Cato Johnson division has handled numerous AmEx direct marketing assignments. O&M continues as agency of record for AmEx's Travel Related Services division including The American Express Card, Travelers Cheques and brand-related advertising.
