AmEx offers free e-mail

Published on .

American Express Travel Related Services Co. introduced AmExMail April 15, a free Internet e-mail service, managed by free e-mail provider USA.Net.

AmExMail members can access their e-mail accounts through the Web site; an existing e-mail account using AmExMail's message forwarding service; or offline standard e-mail software, such as Netscape Mail, Qualcomm's Eudora.

The service is open to non-AmEx cardholders; American Express cardmembers who register, however, get 10 megabytes of mail storage space vs. the standard 5MB.
