American Express Co., a National Basketball Association sponsor, will take over from the Foot Locker retail chain as title sponsor of the "Million Dollar Shot" on NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland Feb. 7 to 9. An in-store sweepstakes began this month at Champs Sports stores, allowing consumers to register for the contest by making purchases with their American Express charge card. Contestants can also enter via http://www.americanexpress.com/ millshot and ExpressNet on America Online.

MarketSource Corp., Cranbury, N.J., for 1997 is planning "Net Exploration," a new integrated promotion targeting high-school students, families and teachers. Kicking off next March, the promotion will include an education-based Web site, an online contest and Net Exploration Paks consisting of coupons and product samples to be delivered to as many as 22.2 million teen-agers per year.

United Parcel Service finalized a deal with the International Olympic Committee to renew its global sponsorship of the Olympics through the year 2000. The $45 million deal spans the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, and the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
