AmEx gets first spot on 'Seinfeld'

Slipping in at the last minute, American Express Co. bought the first national spot on tonight's "Seinfeld" finale. The card marketer will run an ad featuring Magic Johnson. Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, handles. The closing national spot will be a tribute from Apple Computer, Cupertino, Calif., featuring a cut of Apple's original b&w "Think Different" montage spot adding in images of Mr. Seinfeld. TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., handles.
