(May 31, 2001) -- Amicus Financial, Toronto, hired DDB Palmer Jarvis, Toronto, to handle a $15 million to $20 million account that includes creative, media, collateral, merchandising, direct marketing and interactive promotions in the U.S. and Canada.

Westport Consulting Group, Westport, Conn., handled the review, which also included Omnicom Group's BBDO, Toronto.

Amicus, a division of Canadian bank CIBC, operates an online bank and banking pavilions in retail stores in the U.S. and Canada.

Incumbent Perennial Inc., Etobicoke, Ontario, will continue working on retail efforts for Amicus, which provides banking services for Safeway Select Bank, Marketplace Bank and President's Choice Financial, among others. -- Mercedes Cardona
