ANA urges networks to rate programs

The Association of National Advertisers today called on broadcast and cable networks to develop a voluntary system for rating programming that is akin to the ratings of movies. ANA has a poll of its members showed 90% support a ratings system that is voluntary, though members also said they would evaluate program content on their own to determine its suitability to the target audience and to advertiser needs.
