Andersen Consulting Tuesday launched an experimental intelligent agent called LifestyleFinder
to help clients better target customers on the Web. Located at Andersen's home page, the LifestyleFinder asks a series of questions of the users through which it gathers information about a user's lifestyle and then uses that info to suggest Web sites that feature products, places and services that may match the consumer's preferences. "The purpose of LifestyleFinder is to test a new methodology for collecting information about consumers while respecting their privacy," said Glover T. Ferguson, partner and director of Andersen Consulting's Center for Strategic Technology Research.
