[new york] Andy Berlin is out of the Dole presidential campaign, just as the Clinton and Dole campaigns come out with their first big ad blitzes. Mr. Berlin, president of Fallon McElligott Berlin, said he had decided to "deploy our people on other clients. We picked up a bunch of new business." That includes Coca-Cola Co., which confirmed Friday it awarded its $30 million Georgia Coffee account in Japan to FMB from McCann-Erickson Worldwide (AA, Aug. 19). Coca-Cola said its $15 million PowerAde account in the U.S. remains at McCann's Seattle office, though executives close to Coca-Cola said PowerAde will officially move to FMB shortly.

"Baseball just hasn't regained the cachet or interest," said one media buyer. Advertisers who want to buy Fox's pre-Super Bowl show or prime time may be persuaded to package that buy with the World Series.

Ross Roy Chairman-CEO-President Peter Mills, who led the sale to Omnicon, will leave after the transition, and will be succeeded by William Oswald, BBDO Detroit president-CEO.

[roseland, n.j.] Prudential HealthCare's loss last week of its biggest contract, with the American Association of Retired Persons, cast a pall over Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners' recent win of PruHealth's $20 million ad account, with analysts speculating Prudential might have to sell the division.
