AOL brings consultant on board

America Online named Paul Cappuccio senior VP-general counsel. Mr. Cappuccio comes to AOL from Kirkland & Ellis, where he is a senior partner in the law firm's Washington office, leading its telecommunications practice and appellate group. In related news, Apple Computer and America Online will create instant messaging products for Macintosh computer users that will allow seamless communication between Mac users and the AOL Instant Messenger service. The deal will allow Mac users to exchange messages online in real-time with friends, family and colleagues and other AIM users.
