(April 16, 2001) -- America Online expanded its AOL Mobile service with the launch of new channels, services and content from partners including eBay, Travelocity, Qsen and NGame. AOL Mobile, which gives users access to AOL through their Internet-ready mobile phones, now features content from eBay on the Shopping Channel, Travelocity on the Travel Channel, Qsent on the Travel and Local Channels, and NGame on the Entertainment Channel.

In other news, AOL also announced that its worldwide membership surpassed 29 million, with members spending an average of 70 minutes a day on the site, up from 64 minutes last year. -- Cara Beardi
