Dell Computer Corp., Round Rock, Texas, is partnering with America Online, Dulles, Va., in a multi-year marketing agreement to feature AOL on Dell consumer computers sold in the U.S. and Canada. Dell Dimension and Inspiron systems will ship with CDs containing AOL 4.0 software and 100 free hours to be used in the first month of the AOL service. In '99, Dell consumers will have access to a pre-installed, customized version of AOL 4.0 software with links to Dell's Web services as part of Dell's ConnectDirect program.
