Published on .

AOL Latin America and Big Entertainment today announced a multi-year commerce and content agreement under which BigE's movie Web site, Hollywood.com, will be an anchor tenant in the Entertainment Channels of AOL's Latin America services, and BigE's e-commerce studio store, bigE.com, will be positioned in the Shopping Channels of AOL Latin America. The agreement also makes AOL Latin America a shareholder in Big Entertainment; no terms were disclosed. AOL Latin America plans to launch AOL and CompuServe Internet services in Brazil by year-end. Content will be translated into Portuguese for the Brazilian market and into Spanish for subsequent launches in Mexico and Argentina and other parts of Latin America.
