AOL pulls all ads

Published on .

America Online will pull all remaining TV spots from major networks Thursday in keeping with the agreement it made with Attorneys General earlier this week. While the service had pulled its "Jetsons" image ads from TBWA Chiat/Day, New York, earlier this month, direct-response spots created in-house had continued running on major networks and channels including Nickelodeon and Court TV.

AOL will be allowed to use the media for paid messages about its customer refund efforts and other reparations it's making to angry subscribers, a spokeswoman said Thursday. Those efforts could begin as soon as Friday.
