AOL taps Katz for rep work

Published on .

America Online this week will announce it has tapped Katz Millenium Marketing, New York, as online sales rep for AOL properties on the Web and also for its GNN online service. AOL has spent several months trying to align its content to maximize the advertising potential. The company recently announced a pricing structure for ads within the native AOL service, which will be handled in-house.

With the AOL assignment, Katz gains a major brand name. Its fledgling online rep firm also handles Sci-Fi Channel's site, The Dominion; CarTalk.com; Sandbox (from Tracer Design); and the soon-to-be-launched Value One Online, a shopping service.
