AOL unleashes Global Network Navigator at Internet World

America Online unveiled its Global Network Navigator Internet service at fall Internet World, the Boston trade show sponsored by Mecklermedia Corp. GNN, costing $14.95 per month for 20 hours of access, features original content in six categories: personal finance, sports, education, travel, Story Cafe and Web Review. In addition, GNN will feature content from Reuters NewMedia, Yahoo and several AOL Greenhouse partners, including electronic Gourmet Guide, NetNoir and iGolf. The service launches with 50 marketing partners, including American Airlines, AT&T, Joe Boxer Corp. and MGM/United Artists. Ad prices range from $15,000 to $70,000 per quarter.
