APL's North American chief quits

Published on .

Ammirati Puris Lintas North American President Duncan Pollock resigned. The move was expected. Mr. Pollock's responsibilities for strategy and North American operations will be assumed by Ammirati Chairman-CEO-Chief Creative Officer Martin Puris. In a statement, Mr. Pollock said, "I decided some time ago to leave [Ammirati] and have been working with Martin since then to ensure an orderly transition ... I'm extremely proud of our growth and the agency's many achievements but I've spent more than half of my career at [Ammirati] and want a change." Mr. Pollock said he was exploring other opportunities and would announce his plans in the future. Ammirati is expected to name a new head of its New York office in the next several weeks. Industry speculation is that the new executive will have experience in management consulting and will take on a broader, possibly worldwide role in the future.
