Apple renegotiates global pact with BBDO

Published on .

Apple Computer is renegotiating its annual contract with BBDO Worldwide, Los Angeles, for its $200 million worldwide creative and media account, which expires in September. Apple VP David Roman is confident terms will be worked out. Mr. Roman said contract talks may be fueling rumors rampant in ad agency circles that Apple is talking to other shops. Numerous shops, including former agency TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, have made inquiries, but Mr. Roman said Apple isn't interested. Separately, Apple is discussing a Web project with Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, which early this year produced an Apple commercial.
