Aqua Velva goes on Nascar drive

J.B. Williams Co., Glen Rock, N.J., will tie in marketing plans for Aqua Velva aftershave to its new sponsorship of race car driver Rich Bickle. Williams will spend $8 million in 1999 TV advertising, point-of-purchase displays and promotions starting in August. Also, Aqua Velva will run flights of TV ads by Avrett, Free & Ginsberg, New York, in local and national broadcasts of Nascar events.
