New Arbitron research service

Arbitron Co. next year will introduce a qualitative local market media research service for radio and TV stations and cable systems in 38 medium-size markets. Called RetailDirect, the new service will provide detailed profiles of the consumers in the local market, including how they use local media, shop at local retailers and patronize restaurants, banks and other local businesses.
