Tim Duncan, longtime executive director of the Advertiser Syndicated Television Association, New York, is resigning effective July 1. ASTA is reorganizing and has been conducting a search for a president for several months. Mr. Duncan has served as executive director since 1987--for most of that time as ASTA's only paid employee. A number of ad agency executives, most notably Jon Mandel, senior VP-director of national broadcast, Grey Advertising, New York, have been urging ASTA to become a higher profile organization. Mr. Duncan is returning to his consulting practice, Boston Media Consultants, Dedham, Mass.
