Atlanta shop splits

Published on .

Tucker Wayne/Luckie & Co., Atlanta, announced its separation into the two original companies that formed a 1988 merger. The Atlanta office will become Tucker Wayne & Co. and the Birmingham office will again be known as Luckie & Co. Present management is expected to remain intact in both offices. The reorganization is the result of the agency's loss of the $45 million BellSouth Corp. telecommunications account to Merkley Newman Harty, New York.

Tucker Wayne & Co. will keep the BellSouth Advertising & Publishing Co. and BellSouth Mobility accounts while Luckie & Co. will keep its Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Alabama and McKee Foods accounts.
