Aussie navy sinks Windows 95

The Australian Navy banned Microsoft's Windows 95 Registration Wizard from its network and stand-alone computers, pending a detailed security check on the electronic registration system, sparked by Internet warnings that Registration Wizard is invasive. The claim, vehemently denied by Microsoft Australia, says Windows 95 can extract information from directories and files on a personal computer and relay it electronically to Microsoft.
