Australian insurance giant to review account

SYDNEY -- Australian insurance giant NRMA has called a review of its $11 million ad account, currently split between Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney, and small Sydney-based agency Doorley Abram Davis & Chapman. It is the NRMA's first full scale review in five years.

Both incumbent agencies are being included in the process, which is being kept under tight wraps through The Agency Register, a specialist advertising review consultancy based in Sydney.

The NRMA is expected to make an appointment on the account early in July. The Agency Register Managing Director, Peter MacDonald, would not elaborate on the process. But agencies invited to present at the capabilities stage will be charged a fee of $1,000 and the winning agency will also be charged an "appointment fee," related to the size of the account.
