Australian Internet agencies merge

MELBOURNE -- Clemenger Interactive, a subsidiary of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, and MNI Technology have merged to form Australia's largest Internet solutions company, Zivo. The new business launched in Sydney and Melbourne.

Zivo is owned jointly by Clemenger BBDO and Zivo's four partners, Jeff Lewis who founded MNI, Martin Lindstrom, founder of Clemenger Interactive, Tim Burgess, formerly new media director at Leo Burnett Connaghan & May, Sydney, and Mike McSherry, formerly with Microsoft.

About one third of Zivo's clients come from Clemenger with the rest from MNI. They include Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Izzy Asper's Ten Network, Mercedes Benz, Visa, Libra and IBIS Business Information.

The company offers strategic and design skills with technical development and claims that traffic to its sites already reaches one million page views a week.
